This Corgi model is unique since it was packaged as a toy without a stand and also featured a yellow canopy. This why I'm including it with the toy harriers. All my other Corgi's were marketed as collectors type diecasts.

Most of Monograms kits create models, but this particular one did create a working toy with wheels. It does require assembly, but once built, is surprisingly sturdy.

This I've been told is a pre-production Harrier from Matchbox. It has a silver base and the only Harrier Skybuster with red missiles & nozzles, all the others are black. The silver base does match my other early production Harrier from the Ron Slyder collection.

This airplane is actually a puzzle that ships in about 20+ pieces inside a miniature pilot's helmet. Assembly is simple and once model is put together, it is very sturdy and could be played with. It's approximately 5" in length. Great concept.

This harrier is a cross between a micro machine and ring raider so I'm uncertain of it's origin. The undercarriage/wheels are simliar to a micro machine, but the paint/emblems mimic the ring raider skull squadron. The plastic diecast, especially the canopy, is completely unique to the rst of my collection.

This is the largest toy harrier in my collection and comes from Spain. It measures over 20" long and has detailed pilot sitting in the cockpi, as well as, friction operated lights. It's sheer size is impressive.

Japanese Bandai Scrambled Egg series. The box labels the aircraft as a "Hurrier", so they might have been in a "hurry" during production. Transforms (altough not easily) into a robot and had other jets in series including F-16 and F-15. I placed US stickers on the wings to be more patriotic, but ships with RAF roundels.

One of the first toy diecasts of the Harrier ever manufactured (mid-70's). Besides a pilot in the cockpit, the plane also consists of a small trigger/spring mechanism that rotates the engine nozzles. Although it's nearly 30 years old, still readily available in mint condition.

A146 Harrier. The original Harrier created in the Dynaflite series, replace later by the A154 AV-8B Harrier model. The Dynaflites continue to be sold via Motormax with various color variations, but don't compare to this gem. It's a solid cast and one of my favorite models.

This mold is the worst looking Harrier in my entire collection. Although the ratio of length to width is almost perfect, this hardly resembles a harrier even though it's painted on to the plane itself. It also has USAF on the wing, but the U.S. air force has never flown the harrier.
