Description:
The 1940s postcards are all from Italy, and were originally collected by Roy Davenport, during his tour of duty in the Mediterranean theater of operations. His wife, Houlgate, gave them to me, along with some of his war memorabilia. The 1950s cards were collected by Marie Parker, who gave them to me in the 70s when I was a little kid, hanging around her house to ogle the old things and bum homemade cookies and hugs off her. (~-^) The 70s cards were given to me by my parents and older sister; the 80s cards were sent to me from travelling friends, and the 90s cards were mostly ones I bought for myself. I've enjoyed them all, and would like to expand the collection, someday! Oddly enough, I have no postcards from the 60s. Kaichi's Collections Postcards: 1940s-1990s |
